Abstract In recent years, important advances have taken place to improve game accessibility for all types of players. However, audio description (AD), the access service that translates images into words, is yet be widely implemented in mainstream games. This paper presents part results Researching Audio Description Project: Translation, Delivery and New Scenarios (RAD). One main objectives project investigate potential inclusion AD video games order their contribute a more enjoyable experience persons with visual disabilities. First, evolution discussed, including latest developments field, both from industry research perspectives. Secondly, RAD Project presented. Thirdly, data collected survey addressed blind low vision Spain described, which 106 valid answers were received. Survey topics include barriers encountered by participants, desired solutions, interest application AD.
